Men’s Ministry
Motto: “Rise up oh men of God.”
Purpose: Evangelism
Scripture: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and the Holy Ghost:”
The men’s ministry of Gateway Assembly centres on evangelism; as such, they have purposed themselves in witnessing around Calliste and surrounding areas. Fuelled by the scripture Matthew 28:19, they are motivated to help usher souls into the kingdom of God, which they believe is the father’s will for them.
The men of this ministry are also focused on setting up church fundraisers, open air crusades and occasional “clean up” of the sanctuary. Moreover, since another one of their purposes is to bring men together, they gather for a few activities for their own enjoyment. As such, men’s breakfast are held three times per year in an effort to have fathers bond with their sons.
Under the leadership of Bro. Peter Alfred, the men meet every other Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
The men’s ministry invites men to be part of this ministry so that as men we can all work together to become leaders in our families, church community and world.
To be part of this ministry please phone the church.

Women’s Ministry
Motto: “We Minister as unto Christ “
Our Prayer: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer (Psalm 19:14).
Theme song: Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Scriptures: Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23)
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave, whither thou goest. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
The motto “We minister as unto Christ” reflects the heartfelt desire of every woman as it relates to their role in the home and church. It is not always easy to bear the responsibilities of womanhood alone thus the reason for a ministry geared towards offering help in those areas. This ministry aims to help women by providing an atmosphere that will accommodate to their changing needs through practical and spiritual help. Craft evenings teach woman the art of craft making and several Friday’s the women also take turns cooking new dishes. Moreover, through discussions about their personal experiences; the women gain practical knowledge which can be applied to their daily lives.
Additionally, in an effort to be equipped with biblical knowledge; the women engage in studying the lives of exemplary woman in the Bible. Taking into account that every woman is different and unique this ministry seeks to help each woman find their personal place of ministry so that she can grow in her maturity with Christ.
As the women themselves become equipped through this ministry they transfer their experiences by mentoring young single mothers, who are raising children alone, under the Mother’s Outreach Program.
We welcome women and young mother’s to be part of this ministry. Both Ministries are directed by Sis Eudine Banfield; however, Sis Jillian Smith is the Women’s Ministry president. They meet every last Friday of every month at 6:00 p.m.
To be part of this ministry please phone the church.
Gateway Youth Ministry
Scriptures: “Remember now the Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; while the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after rain: (Ecclesiastes 12:1&2).
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believer, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
Objectives: To see the youth have a relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting him in their lives. Loving God with all of their hearts souls and minds.
That they would realise their calling in God.
Be examples to their peers.
Gateway Youth Ministry, fondly known as G.Y.M., is a multifaceted arm of the church focused on reaching out to the youth within the community. Gateway Youth Ministry is directed by a team of dedicated Christians led by Anderson & Antonia Stanisclaus.
Youths from ages 10 – 20 meet every Friday at 6:30 p.m. to support each other and learn God’s truth. Though the methods are fun and exciting, our aim is that the youths will learn, know and grow in God thus realising their calling in the kingdom of God. Consequently, our meeting include a mixture of games, bible discussions, group discussions, family life talks, music and entertainment (drama & movies) as well as outdoor activities.
Some of our outdoor activities include hiking, bon fire evenings and a day spent at the beach.
Our annual “Bubble a Pot” is normally held either in the month of July or August. It is a time when the different ministries of the church join with the youths an in evening of fellowship and bonding.
On several occasions we visit PAWI Churches in our districts so that the youths can engage in rich interactions with other youths.
Through this ministry we hope that our youths will remember God while they are yet young.
Contacts for this ministry are; Bro. Anderson Stanisclaus, Sis Antonia Stanisclaus, Sis. Nyasha Jeremiah and Bro. Ackim Marshall. If you wish to be part of this ministry please contact the church.
Christian Education
Focus for 2016: “The soon coming King”
General Scripture: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
“Now these are the commandments, the statues, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land whither you go to possess it…and you shall teach them diligently to your children” (Deuteronomy 6:1).
Purpose: To Experience God for themselves at a young age and thus come to a saving knowledge of Him.
The Christian Education Department or “Children’s Church” as it is commonly known exists to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the children of our congregation, from ages 3-11, in a manner in which they can understand. This Department is directed by Sis. Jessie-Ann Bruno and 12 other Christian teachers who are careful to instil in the children godly principles that they can use throughout their lives. Although, the message may come in a simple form; we acknowledge that the truth of God’s word must not be compromised. This a no easy task and even a greater responsibility which is taken very seriously, as this may be the only place that many of the children will ever learn about Christ and the Bible.
Children’s church is normally held in the Gateway Academy School building during the morning service from around 10:15 a.m. until the end of church.
This year the children are being taught that Jesus Christ is the soon coming king taken from Matthew 16:27 (“For the son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works).
We invite all children to be part of this ministry and learn about God.
Worship and Music Ministry
Motto: “Worshipping God as a lifestyle”.
Scriptures: “Give unto the Lord, o ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength” (Psalm 29:1&2).
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name” (Psalm 103:1).
Praise and Worship is a very important arm of Gateway Assembly. The Worship/ Music Department is responsible for setting the mood for worship and engaging the congregation in worship unto God.
The Department comprises of six (6) musicians and twelve (12) singers who are born-again Christians and our lifestyle must represent that of a true worshipper on and off the platform. We understand that leadership is for service and not status, and without the influence of the Holy Spirit our worship and praises are in vain.

Dance Ministry
Focus: “To give glory and praise to God through dance.”
Scripture: “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp” (Psalm 149:3).
Driven by the command in scripture to praise God with all that is within her, the dance ministry led by Gateway’s very own Sis Anthea La Touche seeks to do just that.
This Ministry, commonly known as the “Tehillah Dancers”, consists of young people who express their gifts to God through area of dancing. In this ministry they will learn the importance of worship and praise by serving God with their gifts despite their ages. The “Tehillah Dancers” minister through dance every third Sunday in the month. In Addition to practices they meet every first Saturday of the month for prayer; and they meet occasionally for socials to observe birthdays.

Using music to inspire, uplift and encourage its listeners.
Scripture: “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Gateway Assembly Choir is currently made up of 14 persons. Though the ministry is small in number its main aim is to bring glory and honour to God through songs. This ministry recognizes that ministering in songs is not for entertainment; however, our singing is about delivering a message of Jesus Christ.
The choir normally ministers in song every first Sunday in the Month. However, there are various occasions such as Easter, Emancipation Sunday and Christmas when the choir also ministers.
